Info on Dr. Allen
Daryl Allen grew up in Springfield, Illinois. He had very little experience with chiropractic growing up, until his high school years. At this time his mother suffered from lower back pain that left her almost immobile and unable to work. She saw a chiropractor and over time was back to her normal self, up and moving. After that episode, Dr. Allen started considering chiropractic school over medical school. With some research and observation of several chiropractors, the decision was made to become a chiropractor.
Dr. Allen attended Eastern Illinois University then transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic, one of the most respected chiropractic schools in the country. Where he completed his B.S. in Human Biology and followed by a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While at Logan, Dr. Allen pursued extra studies around the country in the Gonstead System, extremity adjusting and pediatric chiropractic.
He returned to Springfield in 2004 to start a family chiropractic office. Continued education, keeps Dr. Allen up to date with the latest in the health and research, as well as, the care given to his patients. Topics of interest include sports related injuries, nutrition, and clinical research.
The philosophy that Dr. Allen uses when treating patients is that structure equals function. “When the bones and joints are misaligned, it creates added stress on the body that is often hard to overcome. By removing the misalignments there is less nerve interference and the body is able to heal itself.” Hence, when the structure of you body is good, it’s function will be good.
At Allen Chiropractic, we understand that your body goes to great lengths to promote healing. It is not a pill that cures a disease, or a bandage that heals a cut. Your own body has the ability to heal itself, but may need assistance in getting that process started. This is where Allen Chiropractic steps in. Dr. Allen figures out what is the cause of your problem and understands how to begin the healing process with chiropractic.
Dr. Daryl Allen enjoys helping entire families with chiropractic. Starting chiropractic care early, prevents problems from arising later in life. But if you have ignored your body’s warning signals and those problems have creep up on you, Dr. Allen can still make positive changes to your life. And it is never too late to start chiropractic. Give us a chance to make you feel better, for life.
